Conditional Stage Change in SalesTown CRM ensures that essential information is captured before a lead progresses through the pipeline stages. This feature helps maintain data integrity and ensures that leads meet predefined criteria before moving to the next stage.

In this guide, we will explain how to set up and utilize Conditional Stage Change for effective lead management.

Steps to Configure Conditional Stage Change

1. Navigate to Conditional Stage Change Settings

  • From the main dashboard, locate the Essentials< Settings tab in the main menu or navigation panel.
  • Click on Settings to open the settings page.
  • In the settings page, find and click on the Tools< Conditional Stage Change Setting option.
  • This will open the Conditional Stage Change Settings page.

2. Add a Rule for Conditional Stage change

  • Click on the Add Rule button on the top right side of the window.
  • A pop-up will appear along with the below option to choose from. 

 

Pipeline Name Choose the Pipeline name from the dropdown where you want to implement Conditional Stage Change.
Pipeline Stage Within the chosen pipeline, select the specific stage you want to configure with conditions.
Checklist

Choose and configure the checklist items that need to be fulfilled for the stage change to occur by clicking on the checkbox. The checklist typically includes the following-

  • Lead Value
  • Lead Probability
  • Expected Close Date
  • Contact Email
  • Contact Phone
  • Organization Address
  • Organization GST
  • Required Value
  • Any Custom Column (if created)

 

  • Then click on the Save button.
  • After choosing, the rule will be created and shown in list form with edit and delete options in it.

Incomplete Checklist Alert

  • If attempting to change a stage without completing the required checklist items, an alert will notify you of the missing information.
  • This ensures no lead progresses without meeting the necessary criteria.
