Managing your contacts efficiently is crucial for maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring smooth operations. This guide provides detailed steps on how to edit and, delete contacts, including both organizations and persons, in SalesTown CRM.

 

Step-by-Step Guide to Edit an Organization 

via Workboard-

1. Find the Organization to Edit

  • Use the search bar given on the workboard window to search the Organization name.
  • Click on it and it will redirect to the Organization Detail Page.

2. Edit the Organization Details

  • Click on the edit icon ( pencil icon ) given next to the respective field you want to edit.
  • A pop-up form with the field value will be displayed.
  • Update the value accordingly and Click on the Save Button.
  • The particular change will be updated in the Organization.

via Organization Menu-

1.  Navigate to the Organization Menu 

On the dashboard, locate the main menu. Click on the Contacts< Organization option to access the Manage Organization page.

Use Sorting and browse through the Organization list to find the respective Organization.

2. Edit the Organization Details

  • Click on the Edit icon given in the Organization name column in case the organization name needs to be updated.
  • Otherwise, to edit the other fields. Click on the Organization name to open their detailed view.
  • In both cases, click on the edit icon ( pencil icon ) given next to the respective field you want to edit.

3. Update Organization Information

  • A pop-up form with the field value will be displayed.
  • Update the value accordingly and Click on the Save Button.
  • The particular change will be updated in the Organization.                                 

Step-by-Step Guide to Delete an Organization  

Single Organization-

  • On the dashboard, again locate the main menu. Click on the Contacts< Organization option to access the Manage Organization page.
  • Use Sorting and browse through the Organization list to find the respective Organization.
  • Click on the respective organization name to open their detailed view.
  • Then Click on the Delete button.
  • A confirmation dialog will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion.
  • Click OK to permanently delete the Organization.

Multiple Organization-

1.  Navigate to the Organization 

  • On the dashboard, locate the main menu. Click on the Contacts< Organization option to access the Manage Organization page.
  • Click on the checkbox given on each row of Organization to select the respective organizations to delete.

2. Delete the Organization

  • On Clicking, a delete button will be shown.
  • Click on the Delete button.
  • A confirmation dialog will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion.
  • Click OK to permanently delete the Organization.

 

Tips for Effective Contact Management

  • Complete Profiles: Ensure all fields are filled out to maintain comprehensive contact profiles.
  • Consistent Naming: Use consistent naming conventions for easy identification and searchability.
  • Restore: Deleted Organization can be restored from the settings section.

  • Missing Contacts: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to edit and delete contacts. Contact your Account administrator if contacts are missing.
  • Data Entry Issues: Double-check that all required fields are completed correctly.
