Prospects, or seedings, are potential leads that can eventually be converted into customers. Managing prospects effectively is crucial for building a robust sales pipeline. This guide will walk you through the steps to add, edit, and delete prospects in SalesTown CRM.

Step-by-Step Guide to Adding a Prospect (Seeding)

  1. Navigate to the Seeding Page

  • On the workboard, locate and choose the Seeding tab by clicking to access the Seeding List page.
  • Look for an “Add Prospect” button, located at the top-right corner of the Prospect List page.
  • Click on this button to open the new prospect form.

  2. Fill in Prospect Details

    • Lead Title: Provide a descriptive title for the lead.
    • Organization Name: Enter the name of the organization associated with the prospect.
    • Contact Person Name: Fill in the name of the primary contact person.
    • Contact Email: Add the contact person’s email.
    • Contact Phone No.: Add the contact person’s phone number.
    • Organization Website: Enter the website URL of the organization.
    • Attach Product: Choose Product Name from the dropdown.
    • Organization Address: Include country, state, city, address, and pin code.
    • Custom Fields: If any are already created.

    After filling in all the necessary details, click the “Save” button to add the prospect to your SalesTown account.

 

Step-by-Step Guide to Editing a Prospect (Seeding)

    1. Locate the Prospect

  • On the workboard, locate and choose the Seeding tab by clicking to access the Seeding List page.
  • Search for the prospect you want to edit using the search bar or by browsing through the list.

     2. Open the Prospect Details

  • Click on the prospect’s name to open its detail view.

     3. Edit the Required Information

  • Click on the edit icon (pencil icon) given next to the respective field you want to edit.
  • Update the necessary fields with the new information.
  • Once you have made the desired changes, click the “Save” button to update the prospect’s details.

 

Step-by-Step Guide to Deleting a Prospect (Seeding)

1. Locate the Prospect

  • On the workboard, locate and choose the Seeding tab by clicking to access the Seeding List page.
  • Search for the prospect you want to edit using the search bar or by browsing through the list.

Single Entry from Workboard- 

2. Delete the Prospect

  • Click on it and it will redirect to the Seeding Detail Page.
  • Click on the Delete icon given in the bottom left next corner. 
  • A confirmation dialog will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion.
  • Click OK to delete the Seeding.

Single Prospects from List View-

1. Delete the Prospect

  • Click on the three dots of the respective Prospect you want to delete. 
  • A dropdown will appear. Click on the Delete Prospect option. 
  • A confirmation dialog will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion.
  • Click OK to delete the Seeding.

Multiple Prospects from List View-

1. Find the Seeding to Delete

  • On the workboard, locate and choose the Seeding tab by clicking to access the Seeding List page.
  • Click on the checkbox given on each row of Seeding to select the respective Prospect to delete.

2. Delete the Prospect

  • On clicking, a delete button will be shown.
  • Click on the Delete button and hit Apply.
  • A confirmation dialog will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion.
  • Click OK to delete the Seeding.
