Managing leads efficiently in SalesTown CRM includes editing and deleting lead information as needed. This guide provides detailed steps to edit or delete a lead in SalesTown CRM.

Step-by-Step Guide to Edit a Lead 

via Workboard-

1. Find the Lead to Edit

  • Use the search bar given on the workboard window to search the Lead Title.
  • Click on it and it will redirect to the Lead Detail Page.

                                   Or

  • Click on the Lead you want to edit from the respective Pipeline.
  • It will redirect to the Lead Detail Page.

2. Edit the Lead Details

  • Click on the edit icon (pencil icon ) given next to the respective field you want to edit.
  • A pop-up form with the field value will be displayed.
  • Update the value accordingly and Click on the Save Button.
  • The particular change will be updated within the Lead.

 via List View-

1. Find the Lead to Edit

  • Click on the table view icon given on the left side of the Add Lead Button.

  •  A window with leads in a List View will appear, having an edit icon ( pencil icon ) in each cell of the table.

2. Edit the Lead Details

  • Click on the edit icon ( pencil icon ) given next to the respective field you want to edit.
  • A pop-up form with the field value will be displayed.
  • Update the value accordingly and click on the Save Button.
  • The particular change will be updated within the Lead.

 

Step-by-Step Guide to Delete a Lead  

Single Entry from Workboard- 

1. Find the Lead to Delete

  • Use the search bar given on the workboard window to search the Lead Title.
  • Click on it and it will redirect to the Lead Detail Page.

                                   Or

  • Click on the Lead you want to delete from the respective Pipeline.
  • It will redirect to the Lead Detail Page.

2. Delete the Lead 

  • On the top right corner go to the three-dot option here you can easily find the delete option.
  • Then click on the Delete button.
  • A confirmation dialog will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion.
  • Click OK to delete the Lead.

Multiple Leads from List View-

1. Find the Lead to Delete

  • Click on the table view icon given on the left side of the Add Lead Button. A window with leads in a List View will appear.
  • Click on the checkbox given on each row of Lead to select the respective Leads to delete.

2. Delete the Lead

  • On clicking, a delete button will be shown.
  • Click on the Delete button and hit Apply.
  • A confirmation dialog will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion.
  • Click OK to delete the Lead.

 

Tips for Effective Lead Management

  • Accurate Deletion: Ensure that you truly intend to delete a lead before doing so, as this action may be irreversible.
  • Restore: Deleted leads can be restored from the settings section.
  • Backups: Consider exporting lead data regularly as a backup to prevent accidental loss of important information.

  • Missing Leads: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to view, edit, and delete leads. Contact your Account administrator if leads are missing.
  • Data Entry Issues: Double-check that all required fields are completed correctly when editing leads.
