Tags are a powerful tool in SalesTown CRM that helps you categorize and manage your leads effectively. Tags can be applied to both Seeding and Lead categories, allowing you to organize your workflow better. This guide provides detailed steps to add, edit, and delete tags in SalesTown CRM.

Step-by-Step Guide to Add New Tags

1. Access the Tag Setting

  • On the workboard, click on the setting icon in the top right corner, next to the All Tags button.
  • It will Redirect to the Tag Setting window. 

                                   Or

  • On the workboard, locate the main menu. Click on the Essentials< Setting< Tools option. 
  • Click on the Lead Tag tab and it will Redirect to the Tag Setting window. 

                              Or

  • On the workboard, click on any lead and its Detail view will be displayed. 
  • Click on the Label icon given next to the Lead Title at the top of the window.
  • A pop-up will be open and then click on Add Label Option and it will redirect to the Tag Setting window. 

2. Add New Tag 

  • In the Tag Setting window, locate and click on the Add New Tag button.
  • A pop-up to Enter the Tag name will be displayed. Enter the Tag name in the provided field.
  • Choose a color from the color palette to represent the tag.
  • After entering the Tag name and selecting a color, click the Save button to add the new Tag.

 

Step-by-Step Guide to Edit Existing Tags

1. Access the Tag Setting

  • Open the Tag Setting window either from the "Tag Setting icon" or from "Settings" as given in the above steps.
  • In the Tag Setting window, locate the Tag you want to edit.

2. Edit the Tag 

  • Click on the Edit option next to the Tag.
  • Modify the Tag name and/or color as needed.
  • After making the necessary changes, click the Save button to update the Tag.

 

Step-by-Step Guide to Delete Tags

1. Access the Tag Setting

  • Open the Tag Setting window either from the "Tag Setting icon" or from "Settings" as given in the above steps.
  • In the Tag Setting window, locate the Tag you want to delete.

2. Edit the Tag 

  • Click on the Delete option next to the Tag.
  • A confirmation dialog will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion.
  • Click OK to delete the Tag.

 

Step-by-Step Guide to Using the Tag on Lead or Prospect

1. Access a Particular Lead

  • On the Workboard window, click on a particular lead you want to Tag.
  • A Lead detail view window will appear. 

2. Apply a Tag to the Lead

  • In the Lead detail view, click on the label icon located on the top left corner next to the Lead Title.
  • A dropdown with a Choose Tag option will display.
  • From the dropdown menu, click on the tag you want to apply to the lead.
  • The tag will immediately appear on the lead.

                                  Or

  • Switch the workboard to List view and search for the Respective Lead on which you want to update a Tag.
  • Click on the Edit Icon on the Tag Column. 
  • A dropdown with a Choose Tag option will display.
  • From the dropdown menu, click on the tag you want to apply to the lead.
  • The tag will immediately appear on the lead.

2. Editing or Deleting a Tag  from the Lead

Edit a Tag:

  • Click on the respective tag in the detail view of the Lead.
  • A pop-up will be displayed having other tags.
  • Choose another tag just by clicking on it. A new Tag will be applied to the Lead

Delete a Tag:

  • Click on the respective tag in the detail view of the Lead.
  • A pop-up will be displayed having other tags and a No Label Button in it.
  • Click on the No Label Button and the tag will be removed from that Lead.

Tips for Effective Tag Management

  • Consistent Naming: Use consistent and descriptive names for tags to ensure clarity.
  • Color Coding: Utilize color coding to quickly identify and differentiate tags.

Troubleshooting and Support

  • Missing Tags: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to add, edit, and delete tags. Contact your Account administrator if tags are missing.
