An Activity in a CRM system refers to a scheduled task or event, such as a call, meeting, or email, associated with a lead, contact, or opportunity. Completing activities on time is crucial for maintaining customer engagement, ensuring timely follow-ups, and driving sales processes forward efficiently.
This guide will detail the steps to mark an activity as done from various sections, including the Lead, Activity Page, Organization and Person, Seeding, and Farming Record.
Marking an Activity as Done from a Lead
Activity can be marked as Done from below two Ways in SalesTown-
🔶 via Tile View
1. Navigate to the Lead in the workboard
- From the Workboard, open the respective Pipeline. In the Leads section, you can view a list of all your leads.
- Search and click on the flag icon given on the tile of the respective Lead.
- A pop-up will be shown with a list of overdue and upcoming activities.
2. Mark the Activity as Done
- Click on the radio button given before the Purpose of the activity.
- A pop-up to fill out the activity Report will be shown.
- After filling, click on the Mark as Done button to mark the activity as done.
🔶via Detail View
1. Navigate to the Lead Detail View
- From the Workboard, open the respective Pipeline. In the Leads section, you can view a list of all your leads.
- Search and click on the specific lead to open its detailed view to mark its activity as Done.
2. Find the Activity
- In the lead's detail view, scroll to the All Log section.
- Find the activity you want to mark as done.
3. Mark the Activity as Done
- Click on the radio button given before the Purpose of the activity.
- A pop-up to fill out the activity Report will be shown.
- After filling, click on the Mark as Done button to mark the activity as done.
The activity report will only be asked to be filled out when required by the account admin, who can mark it as mandatory from the Activity Settings tab in the Settings section.
Marking an Activity Done from the Activity Page
1. Navigate to the Activity Page
- On the workboard, locate the main menu or navigation panel.
- Click on the Activity menu to access the Activity Page.
2. Find the Activity
- Use the search bar or filters to find the specific activity you want to mark as done.
3. Mark the Activity as Done
- Click on the action icon given as three dots in the respective activity row. Then choose the Mark as Done option.
- A pop-up to fill out the activity Report will be shown.
- After filling, click on the Mark as Done button to mark the activity as done.
Marking an Activity as Done from an Organization and Person
1. Navigate to the Organization Or Person Page
- On the workboard, locate the main menu or navigation panel.
- Choose either the Organization or Person menu to access the respective page.
- Click on the specific contact to open its detailed view.
2. Find the Activity
- In the respective detail view, scroll to the Activity Log section.
- Find the activity you want to mark as done.
3. Mark the Activity as Done
- Click on the action icon given as three dots in the respective activity row. Then choose the Mark as Done option.
- A pop-up to fill out the activity Report will be shown.
- After filling, click on the Mark as Done button to mark the activity as done.
Marking an Activity as Done from a Seeding or Farming
1. Navigate to the Seeding or Farming
- On the workboard, locate and choose either the Seeding or Farming tab by clicking to access the respective page.
- Click on the respective Prospect or Client to open its detail view.
2. Find the Activity
- In the respective detail view, scroll to the Log section.
- Find the activity you want to mark as done.
3. Mark the Activity as Done
- Click on the radio button given before the Purpose of the activity.
- A pop-up to fill out the activity Report will be shown.
- After filling, click on the Mark as Done button to mark the activity as done.
